Soluton manager MOPZ incorrect target release

Hi gurus,

We are preparing the upgrade of our BW 3.5 system (NetWeaver 2004) to NetWeaver 7.0 EhP1.

When we try to download the required patches from Solution Manager - Maintenance Optimizer, we select the "Update Option --> Upgrade" but the system only shows us as Target product versions "SAP EHP2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0" so we can not calculate automatically the patches and xml file for EhP1 of NW 7.0.

Anybody can explain why our solution manager does not show us the wanted target product version?

I understand that solution manager does not show us a subsequent releases but if it shows us EHP2, why not EHP1?

We have installed Solution Manager 7.01 SP24.

Hi,

In this you have to do release upgrade to netweaver 7.0 and then Ehp1, you can try manually downloading SPS

[https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/swdc|https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/swdc] -> download SAP Support Package Stacks-> choose your company application component else browse by Index(Leter N) -> select SAP NetWeaver 7.0->select Target stack as SAP Ehp1 for SAP Netweaver ->Source stack as your current stack

select the usage types by your requirement , continue with the further steps that will get the stack xml file.

Download by this SPS system dont ask the solman approval.

Please check this and proceed.

Hello,

The upgrade from lower netweaver releases to EHP1 for Netweaver 7 is NOT supported by Maintenance Optimizer. Only the upgrade to EHP2 for Netweaver 7 is supported by Maintenance Optimizer. Please refer to http://service.sap.com/instguides -> Netweaver -> Netweaver 7 with EHP1 upgrade guides.
