Hi Guys,

Were planning on running Program, SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES

base on your experience what are the PROs and CONs of using the program??

will it delete unecessary tables? what if that program is accidentally run, what are the Harms

and worst case scenarios that can happen

Hi,

As the name suggests the report deletes all the temporary objects generated usually for queries and other processes.

The type of tables deleted are /BI0/0*. The problem with the report is that it deletes all temporary objects without considering if the table is in use or not. Hence if a table being used is deleted - could result in dumps/terminations.

Note 449891 mentions the same.
