Party and Service not defined - In an IDOC scenario

Former Member

Hi All,

I have the following problem:

I receive in SAP XI from R/3 an IDOC with as

SNDPRT=KU

SNDPRN=0001317452 (Vendornumber)

RCVPOR=LI

RCVPRN=0000148320

I had created Party based communicaton as per Shabharish Blog : /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/09/13/wanna-party

After follwing the exact steps,the message is still failing in MONI for the same reason "Party Not defined"

These are attributes of the message from Moni.

SENDER: PARTY_NAME

SENDER SCHEME : XIParty

Sender Agency: http://sap.com/xi/XI

Sender Sevice: BS_ST4_R3_902_NA

Sender Interface: ORDERS.ORDERS01

RECEIVER:0000148320

RECEIVER SCHEME: ALE#LI#LF

Receiver Agency:BS_ST4_R3_902_NA

Receiver Service: EMPTY*** (I have created Receiver Service "PI_RECEIVER" under the PARTY_NAME)

Receiver Interface: ORDERS.ORDERS01 **(My Actual receiver interface is "MI_OC_SP_ORDER_SUMMERY")

Configurations in the Party created are:

Agency : BS_ST4_R3_902_NA (R/3 Sys name)

Scheme: ALE#KU

Name: 0001317452 (SNDPRN)

I have done the configurations as per the blog but still its failing. Please help?

Another concern is, I had referred to some other threads in the forum and was advised that there is NO need of Party based commuicaton for this scenario , i.e., IDOC ("KU" Type) --> XI --> SOAP Receiver.

Any inputs on this will be highly appretiated.

Thanks!!

HI

for IDOC sender I think its better to create Business system instead of party..

you can still use Business system instead of Party..

Thanks,

Hi,

I am using a business system on the sender(IDOC) side and a business service on the SOAP end.
