Folks, please i need help, i'm installing sap on oracle 9.2

SYSID CBT, this is SAP 4.71. It stops on the "creating or registering SAP Services (post processing)" phase, and inside the file SAPSTARTSRV.EXE.log it's just the word SERVICE NOT STARTED.

If this is a windows Opertating System apply the below patches and then start the installation.

Download one of the following platform-specific files:

Itanium system: vcredist_IA64.exe

64-bit SAP system on Intel 64-bit: vcredist_x64.exe

32-bit SAP system on Intel 64-bit: vcredist_x86.exe

SAP system on Intel 32-bit: vcredist_x86.exe

Hi, i installed the vcredist_x86 patch but nothing happened. I'm running a windows 2000 advanced server on a virtual machine with 3 GB of RAM and a lot of space.

When i tried to start the services manually from service.exe it shows me the on windows eventviewer:

 Initialization failed. Service not started. [ntservmain.cpp 1002] 

and then

 The dynamic link library librfc32.dll could not be loaded 

And here is the message from the sapinst

Hi,

SAP 4.7 is soon to be out of support

Windows 2000 is well out of support.

use Windows 2003 or 2008.

Open RUN--> CMD --> CD to exe folder --> enter DISP+WORK.exe -v | more

If this gives no output then check your machine type and place the right kernel or patches related to OS.

After that

Try to install SAPMMC from the install dvd or

use this link:

service.sap.com/swdc --> Support pack stacks --> SAP Technology Components" SAP MMC

login as SIDADM Install it and then register the instance. Refer to this blog how to register an instance in MMC.

Try to start it from MMC as SIDADM always.

Hi FOLKS,

it's DONE, I manager to solve it. The problem was with the dll missing on the system32 folder.

the MSVCP50.dll, MSVCP71.dll e MSVCP80.dll were there but MSVCP60.dll not.

Just copied there and reboot the server. DONE

Paste this log 'S:\SAPinst ORACLE SAPINST\SAPSTARTSRV.EXE.log'. here.

Also while installing any SAP system, make sure there are no spaces in DVD/Source files. I see that there is a space in 'S:\SAPinst ORACLE SAPINST.

hi, the only thing that appears on the file is:

Service not started.

I tried removing the space on the folder name but it's not even work, please can someone help me.
