dialogue instance not starting

Hi,

I have upgraded Kernel 278 successfully in our Enterprise Portal, where we have CI and 2 application servers. after the upgrade CI & one of the application server started successfully but the second application is not starting.

Second application server is neither starting nor generating any log files under work direcotory or under cluster.

when I stop the system it is giving message that the server was not running.

I have contacted SAP but no positive responce.

sapstartsrv is also not running.

Versions are EP 7.0

AIX 5.3

DB2 9.1

Please help me to start the application server.

Hi Fazil,

try to reproduce the issue and go to the work folder of the J2EE Engine and look for the file 'dev_jcontrol' and paste here the information from the

bottom of the file. There should be an exitcode or any other error message displayed there. You might also take a look at SAP note 723909 which describes

how to configure memory settings. Many times this is the reason of the problem.

If you didn't find these files let us know.
