Bid Invitation-Vendors.

Hello Everyone,

We are using ECS in SRM 5.0.

I am trying to create bid invitation in our SRM system. But for some particular vendors I am not able to create the Bid Invitations.The vendors who has the output medium as XML is giving the hard error "Message not found (in main memory) ".So am I need to check some configuration related to this?

If yes then what configurations I need to maintain.

Hi Khushbu,

Since you have maintained XML communication for some of the vendors, you need to enable XI/PI for your SRM system.

In SPRO of your SRM server, you will get an option to activate XI communication.

You need to have a PI server as well and the PI system to be added in the activity 'define system landscape for SRM system'.

To enable XML or PI/XI in srm system, the below setting is already in my system.

Use TCode SPRO.

SAP Implementation Guide -> SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Application Basic settings -> Enable use of Exchange Infrastructure -> click the check box 'Use Application Integration Checkbox'.

Do I need to maintain any other configuration?

Hi,

Have you created contact persons for these vendors?

Also this could be a role issue. Please check the role these vendors have.
