Hi,

Is it possible to provide Create/change program in Transaction - SE38 without access key ?

Whenever a new user required for create and change SE38 access, access key has to be enter though user ID. Is it possible to create a new role for create/change program in SE38 and give to the user as and when require the access.

No , Its not possible!

You need to register in SAP Service Market place.

Hi,

If you are talking about object access key, it is required for modifying SAP delivered objects. In case of custom objects, a developer key is sufficient. Object key is required to be registered at SAP Service Marketplace for each individual objects whereas developer key is registered per installation. You cannot bypass any of them at role level.

Just FYI the reason for access key is not security but licensing. Hence you need to use SAP Market place to register all your developers for each system.

Do market place registration require for provide program change/create in SE38 ?

Hi,

As per my knowledge, you would need to register developer and access key in IDES too. I guess MiniSAP comes with a default user and key which can be used to create/change programs without registering at SAP marketplace.

Interestingly, there are quite a few blogs on web which provides some default user name(IDES, SAPUSER,DEVELOPER, BOLLINGER, etc) and corresponding developer key for IDES installation but haven't tried them so not sure of their authenticity.
