External Definition (dbtab): Not all tables displayed

Former Member

Hello,

I am trying to import the structure of a database view using an external definition, category "dbtab".

Not all database tables are displayed, and no database views at all. When using an external database client (using the same credentials and connection settings as in the JDBC receiver communication channel) all tables and views are displayed.

Is it not possible to import definition of views? Do you have any idea why just some tables are displayed, but not all?

Thank you for your help.

Hey,

Can you confirm if you went through all the steps as mentioned in this blog:

sometimes it happens due to authrorization problem.. just make sure that you have authorization to required view or table..

Thanks,

Hello,

yes, I've done all steps as described in the blog. The connection to the database works because some of the tables are displayed.

I do not think it's an authorization issue either, as I have already inserted some data in the required view using a custom data type. Just strange that no single view is displayed...
