Hi Tony,

Please Clear your SLD DATA CACHE before you import it into your ESR.

-

>Go to Environment Tab )----> Click Clear SLD Data Cache

After creating a business system w.r.t the s/w component you need to add the Q system in the transport group.

Cheers!!!

Hi..

Login to ESR and do the follwoing steps:

1. Go to Environment Tab (top most section)

2. Click Clear SLD Data Cache

A pop up wil lbe displayed saying SLD Data cache cleared .

> But when defining Process Integration Scenario in ESR for graphical representation, on choosing product...... not able to see newly added SWCV?

- Try again. It should show now if the SWCV is created for the particular Product and saved correctly in SLD.

> Suggest the steps to transport the added newly SWCV to product from SLD to Q system

- For PI 7.1 and above

1. Goto IR/ ESR of Q system

2. Right Click on any object and click New

3. Under Work Area - Select Software Component Version

4. Check Import from SLD box and press Display

5. A pop up will display the list of exixting SWCV from SLD.

6. Select your required SWC and press Import.

7. Click Create

For others (3.0 and 7.0) do as mentioned above

IR/ ESR --> Tools --> Transfer from SLD --> Import SWCV --> select your SWC and import

Tony,

After creating the SWC in SLD, you can do the following:

1. IR/ ESR --> Tools --> Transfer from SLD --> Import SWCV --> select your SWC and import

2. In ESR, Right click and Select New-->Create SCWV, it would give you an option to Import SWCVs from SLD

Refer the following more details:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/9c/7a973ca83a4601e10000000a114084/content.htm

Regarding your second q:

Usually, the design objects, Products and SWC are client/ enviornment independent.

In case of single SLD, We create Products and SWC only once and then can be used in Q & P systems. and in case of multiple SLD's, you can transport them.

In Business system, you need to creat the target systems under transports tab.

After you created the swcv in SLD, you need to import it through Tools - Transfer from SLD - Import SCV.
