Difference between ECC 5 and NetWeaver 2004s

Dear friends

please tell me what is the difference between ECC 5 and NetWeaver... as we can have EP, XI, WAS, CRM, SRM this things with NetWeaver and same as ECC also.. so what is the difference....i am confused please please...help me to clear my doubt on ECC and NetWeaver

ECC 5.0 is just the core ERP system. It has been changed from R/3 to ECC. It runs on top of the WebAS 6.40 which is a component of the netweaver platform. Just remember that ECC 5.0 is the same as the ERP system R/3, its just been renamed and improved.
