PROBLEMS TO OBTAIN EDI

desire to obtain a file edi from a Idoc, is this possible one from SAP XI.

Hi,

it would be helpful if you could be a little more specific, like what kinf of EDI-Files you want to use ? (EDIFACT, ANSI X.12, ODETTE, VDA.....)

Where did you get your current target structure of the XI-Mapping from ?

For EDI, you usually use the Seeburger-EDI-Adapter which provides XML-Schemas of all common EDI-Formats that can be used within the XI-MApping. Then the Adapter provides a simple FormatConversion that can be included in your module chain and converts the XML_EDI-File to a real EDI-FIle (removing the tags).

You could also use the ConversionAgent, but this tool doesn´t take care of some specific EDI-tasks but onlya converts the messages

we have a Idoc generated in R/3 and mattered to XI, to this Idoc we passed it through a mapeo and we obtain a file XML. Of this same Idoc we want to obtain a file in format EDI. This process is the one that this giving problems us. Since if it must happen through algun adapter or the conversion is not direct in XI thanks
