NetWeaver 7.3 Upgrade Stuck

Hello all,

I am in process of upgrading NW 7.01 portal to NetWeaver 7.3. In the "Configuration" phase, SAPJup is prompting for Upgrade DVDs. I have given the required path. DVD_KERNEL and NW_Java are accepted when I used 51040410 and 51039309 CDs. However, I am unable to find BS_Java CD. I tried with 51039100 but it doesnt accept.

The error message is:

The configured CD ID BS7-J2EE-CD and CD description BS Java CD has not been mounted. The configured CD ID UT_ERP and CD description ERP has not been mounted.

Please let me know the exact CD I need to provide at this stage.

I am also getting the same error in the Upgrade 7.3 .

does anyone got the solution to fix this issue ?

Hi all,

Beware if your path string is over a certain length it will fail , shorten the path to the media.

The same thing happened to me. I discovered the language DVD (51039309_LNG) extraction overwrote the Java (510390309_JAVA) MID.XML. I replaced with the 510390309_JAVA MID.XML.

Same problem here: I can't find CD Type UT_ERP and J2EE-INTERNAL anywhere.

Sapinst Message:

Hi All,

Please use the below specified DVD's for the upgrade.

1. Upgrade master DVD 51041445 (in case you have a BS hubs system as

per pdf attachment in SAP note 1468349).

2. BS_JAVA_DVD with number 51041443

3. NW_JAVA_Comp DVD with number 51041442

4. DVD_KERNEL with number 51041446

Please download DVDs according to SAP note 1258173.

As Sri wrote, read in the instguide the DVD material number you need. In case you have the correct one, check the sapinst log and find which label is failing. In former versions SAPInst or SAPup needed some LABEL.ASC content that were not in the files, so you had to edit that LABEL.ASC file to fullfill what the installation requests.

I've stuck in the same problem, and the recommended doc doesn't contain any valuable info to solve this problem!

Francisco, have you successfully done an NW7.3 upgrade yet?

Now DVD recognition is not done with LABEL.ASC!

Now the MIDservice discovers MID.XML files on the DVD!

These are the missing IDs:

try to use CD 51036905 Java Comp. 7.0 SR1.

Read the master guide, also media list guide in the instguides, it should give the files names required for the installation.
