FTP time out

Hello experts,

We are using PI 7.11 and SP4 .Please confirm if we can use te below parameters to resolve FTP hange issue.

"ftp.timeout"=timeoutSecs

Please let me know what value we need to set at the timeoutsecs field.

Yes, you can use this parameter.

This is quite business case dependent. This parameter will disconnect PI from the FTP server unless next message arrives. So its up to your business requirement which should conclude the value. The value entered will be in seconds.

Hi,

Please check SAP Note "Note 849089 - XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 File Adapter: FTP Timeout Handling"

They have mentioned the valid releases in it.

There is no harm in setting this parameter. Vaule is scenario dependant.

Please check what is time out parameter set on FTP server. Normally it is set as 300 sec. but as I said it totally depends on your scenario.

R u settings this for sender/receiver Channel? If sender, what is your polling frequency?
