Did you mean:

'No Std cost estimate ..' whereas actually there is one

Guys I am lost,

Production order: variance analysis:

Following issues I have with the production variance being categorized 'Remaining variance', I investigate the root cause of this by re-doing the WIP/Variance calculation.. (in test):

There is a message saying : no std cost estimate for MTL xx exists in plant YY on the date (date on which the order was created)

whereas there is one

What could be the cause of SAp not recognizing the std ?

Thanks a lot for your time

Hi Loic

1. Whats the message no? If it is a Z message, then its a custom check

2. See whether Current Price in Costing 2 view of mat master is there.... You will see 3 tabs (Previous/Current/Future).... the price under currentmust be populated

3. If your Comp code currency is diff than Contr Area currency, you need to update Std cost in Contr Area currency.... OKKN - Costing variant - Assignments tab

4. Best way is to ask your ABAPer to write ABAP code in BADI workorder_update in the method AT_SAVE... This would stop the creation of prod order if Field MBEW-LPLPR is Zero

Hi

Even I am equally lost... Just one last guess.... Whats the validity period of the current cost estimate?

May be the cost was released with a date valid upto say, 28th feb....

Can you re-release the cost with validity upto 31.12.9999 and re-check.....

After you re-release the cost, create a new prod order - Do al the process and then execute variance calculation.... I am sure it should resolve.... try this in a test client may be

Loic,

the fact that there is current standard price does not imply that there is also a currently valid cost estimate.

Have you checkd in Ck13n that there is a cost estimate with current validity?

Ajay I think you put your finger on the issue

CK13n / Dates says Costing dates from 05.01.2011 to 31.01.2011

Is it the validity date you mentioned?

When I did the costing I had full year in mind.

Can I change the validity dates in the costing?

Thanks very much for your help

Hi

You need to run CK11N again with FROM DATE as Current Date and TO DATE as 31.12.9999 or 31.12.2011 depending on your company's policy
