Infomaterial to Division, Sales Area, etc.

Hi SD-Specialists,

We have 2 divisions and several Sales Areas (sales org,dist.channel,division).

That makes somtimes problems/complexity if we want to sell ONE material to both divisions ...

Question:

Now we consider to merge both divisions.

What would it mean? What points we have to consider? (price list, customer data, CO, FI, ....)

Are there (beyond SAP help) good documents availabe, which describe the role of Division, Sales Area, etc. in SAP R/3 (4.70)?

Material is defined for S. Org and Dist. Ch. But multiple dist. ch. could increase master data.

You can check the concept of Common division and common dist. channels. You will get enough material on internet with the keywords - common division/dist. ch.

First create a Common Division in OVXB and next assign this common division to your existing Division in VOR2.

Maintain Common Divisions and maintain that division and assign the division to all sales areas
