ECC & MDM as System Of Entry

Hi MDM Experts,

we configured ECC and MDM as both system of entry for material, the scenario was ECC-PI-MDM & MDM-PI-ECC.

1. when i create a material in ECC it successfully replicate to MDM

2. when i create a material in MDM it replicate but it did not return any material code equivalent to ECC just "New item"

can anybody help me on this.

Where is setup material code in your system?

I think in ECC.

Related to MDM

Check your field material code

(i think it has type text and unique)

When you create new record some field (unique type) filled "new item", "new item2", ets. values.

If you want to generate code for new materis automatically you should use somthing like calculated field properties

or create assignment

in calcualted expression you can set rule for material code generation.

For automatically start assignment for material code generation you should create simple workflow

strart- >assignment->end

and set launch mode as auto, immediatly.

after you create records - automatically launched workflow

where your material code filled calculated value from assignment's calculated expression

In additional

you can use standart MDM key generation mechanism
