Trend Dampening Profile

Dears,

Can you pls advise in setting up the trend dampening profile?

Business scenario:

We have a product and business knows that it will start to trend down in the furture but at the moment the demand history is not trending.Can we use a weighting profile or Trend Dampening profile to reflect this trend in the stat forecast?

Hi Raj,

Trend dampening Profile can be used in Trend models and Seasonal trend models only its not working in constant models.

Before you are maintaing the trend dampening profile you must maintain the Sigma Factor also.
