User Master Record Export/import on ECC landscape

Hi All,

I have a few queries regarding User Master Record Export/import on My ECC landscape:-

1) I have a Prod server and a Quality Server. I need to refresh User Master Data of PLM group on my ECC prod server to my QA. Fyi.. My prod server has three groups FI , MM , PLM . So is it possible to to export only th PLM users data fromProd to QA or I have to Export all the users ?

2) When Say i import the user MAster data from a Prod to QA do all th Profiles and and Roles coming from Prod (along with the user data) would overwrite the roles and Profiles (assuming they exist with same names)already existing on my QA server.

Please to suggest on the possibiliites so that i do not need to heavy manual work of creating all PLM users on my QA after import.

You cannot do a selective export based on the groups. When you get the user master export , it also gets all the roles and overwrites all the records with this one.

Just a suggestion. There is a thread dedicated for Security (SAP Netweaver > Security).
