CUP: Customer field - proposal value

Hi Gurus,

I have created a new customer field for the request, as a test field - varchar2 field with 25 digits. Now in CUP is the possiblity to make a proposal for the end user. Unfortunately the proposal value is not showed in the request form for the end user.

Is this a bug or it just doesn't work?

Hi Martin,

this is the answer from SAP support. I had the same query

I do not see that there is any way to set a default value for a custom

field in current versions, however, I did see a customer request

this for enhancement and it may be included in a future patch. Please

check SAP note 1168508 after March 15th to see if it is included. Note

that this is no guarantee.

Wait and see what happens. I would also enjoy maintaining default values in custom field.

ok, if you want to get a drop down list with values, you can maintain it like mentioned by chinmaya.

My question to SAP was concerning default values in a custom field.

Hi Martin,

You can define the proposal value source. You can make the source as a table in the backend or the in the GRC itself. But you cant make a default value.
