Hi,
is there a possibility to filter a SFC in standard POD (Create SFC or serialize)?
We have the problem that we have to serialize custom serial numbers which contain illegal characters
(example: "[)>11P111111-1111-AA11-A11VTESTT1011").
SAP ME does not accept these serial numbers with the following message:
"One or more illegal characters ("") were entered for the field "id"; the characters ":,'%?*"" cannot be used in a key field"
Is it possible to define a mask or number pattern which allows to cut away the illegal characters?
Thanks,
Patrick
Hello Patrick,
You may use Next Number Maintenance in order to configure next number pattern on SFC Release or SFC Serialize. However, as far as I remember it will not allow you to 'cut' some characters from an existing serial number.
By the way, you may check the list of supported characters with the help of SAP Note #1363812. It is strongly recommended to follow this Note.
Regards,
Alex.
