Compatibility of AFS and IS-Retail

Hello,

We are looking at implementing AFS (Apparel Footwear Solution) and Retail on ECC 5.0 as a ramp-up Customer. Retail is part of core R/3 4.7 and ECC 5.0. Is there any document or white paper that describes any issues or workarounds with these 2 Solutions on the same SAP Instance? I know that the Retail area must me Switched On. AFS will come from SAINT packages. Please let me know if this integration on the same SAP Instance is possible.

Hi Morris,

It is not possible to have AFS and Retail in one instance. The reason being with a system "switched" on as a Retail system, it can not work as an AFS system anymore, because of the Data Dictionary difference.

However there if you are thinking of having two boxes one each for AFS and Retail then both of them can talk to each other using Idocs. AFS has been enhanced have an interface with SAP Retail.

SAP Retail and SAP AFS has Customer -Supplier Relationship.
