The material master data is characterised by u201Cmaterial typesu201D in SAP. Finished goods have a material type u201CFERTu201D and trading goods have a material type u201CHAWAu201D. These two will be relevant for company(A).

The finished products will be grouped based on the following classifications :

i) Group A or Group B (Field Product Hierarchy will be used for this)

ii) Small or Big (Field Material Pricing Group will be used)

iii) Grouping like X or Y or Z (Field Material Freight Group will be used for this)

So how can i know which material is belongs which group?

where i got the material number?

Hello,

In MM60, enter plant and material type say FERT, and press execute(F8).

You will get the list of FERT materials maintained for that plant.

In that List you can also check for material group for particular material, as separate column is there in that list for material group,
