I want to know in sap newteaver which training ishould pursue XI or EP.I have no idea about java, pls reply asap.thanks can mail me at pritiadukia@gmail.com.
Well
it depends on your interest which netweaver module to go for but both (XI and EP) are good and as a netweaver professional you have to have knowlegde in all modules but for perfection you can pick any one or two like combination of XI and EP will be really good.
As far as Java concerned yes yoy need working Java knowledge, so that for example for XI you can code either mapping or simple and standard user functions as need arrives.
for better starting material help.sap.com and SDN are best way to start with. SAP also provides education/certifications about this topics.
Thanks.

Hi Priti,
My suggestion(really prejudiced ) is, get trained in XI.
Reason:
1) A lot lesser Java( as compared to EP). Now, I am not saying that you will not have to write java code, but atleast in the beginning mappings, you probably can utilize ABAP/XSLT/Graphical.

Hi Priti,
As nilkanth had already said, it purely depends on your interest. Both XI and EP are very interesting topics, and are very hot in the market. And definitely, a knowledge of Java is highly essential for both these technologies, more so for EP than XI would be my take. Anyways, for basics into XI, you can take a look at these...
