problem restoring backup from tape using HPDP

Experts,

We are trying to restore the backup from SRC system to target (TRG) system.

1. Copied correspoding ".anf" file and stored in "TRG" system /sapbackup directory and edited and replaced "SRC" sid with "TRG" sids.

While trying to launching te brrestore command " brrestore -b xxxx.anf -m all -p /oracle/TRG/102_64/dbs/initSRC.sap.

We are getting the following error.:

BR0401I BRRESTORE 7.00 (40)

BR0282E Directory '/oracle/SRC/sapreorg' not found

BR0182E Checking parameter/option 'compress_dir' failed

Any suggestion are highly appreciated.

Dear Ahamad,

In this command " brrestore -b xxxx.anf -m all -p /oracle/TRG/102_64/dbs/initSRC.sap " you are calling parameter file of source system initSRC.sap in which system is checking parameter/option 'compress_dir'. Please check if its same. Why you have replaced the SSID with TSID its not required at all.

Please follow these steps....

Place xxxxx.anf file in backup directory. check for parameters in initSID.sap file of TRG system. It should be the same as of SRC system.

Try again and post result if you are getting any error.
