Making field as required when checkbox is checked else not

Dear All,

I am designing a screen, in which one input field is dependent on one check-box....i.e. if check-box is checked only then input-field should be visible and required .. and if un-check the check-box,, field should go in invisible mode ...

I have made the logic to made screen-visible only if check-box is checked....but it is not working for required characteistic.

i.e. once a field gets the characteristic value required , is not getting in-visible mode..even i un-check the check- box..

when i am checking the check-box , its throwing an error. "Make an entry in all required fields"..

Please suggest how to handle this scenario..i.e if check-box is un-checked it should not ask for any value for the input-field

and go invisible(in-active).
