Question, is there a training system (like minisap for ABAP developers) to practise PI/XI? If so, please direct me to download/tutorials on it.

Did you check the download section?
I know the link was for the ABAP but there is also a trial version for SAP NW ABAP+Java in the NW Software download catalog.
