Locking of Tables during data Creation and Maintenance

Hi all,

During manual importing (import manager) of large volumes of data the MDM tables are locked and no one can use the system. Only onse the records have been checked out and import completed can the system be used again.

Currently we are 20 users accessing the system, but the above is causing users not to be able to work on MDM at the same time. Are there any way that that we could stop the locking of the system during Importing?

would appreciate any suggestions.

First of all

Check you hardware configuration according "sizing guide"

Than turn database perfomance(better with Database Admin).

In our repository we have more than 50 users connected at the same time, but our mdm server during the import stay slowly, but not in hold, just for any seconds(in one pass we are usually loading till 5000 records with more than 100 fields(LUT,QLUT, Hierarshies, attributes ets.).

IF you have many import operations you can start its on schedule(not in worktime , or in special time for thechnical job)

If you users needs repository just for reading data you can use master-slave technology for your repository.
