If you are working with Release 6.40 or higher, you do not need to upload the latest file. Instead, in the test data container, just specify the location of the file on your workstation. eCATT then automatically takes whatever is there.

Hi Jonathan,

I have a small query in taking test data from a file. You have mentioned that you can directly give the file name on the workstation in test data container, could you please tell me exactly where we can give the file name in test data container?

Hi Jwalith,

After a test data file is created in the system,

you add that to the container by going to the Varaints tab,

select the radio button "External Variants / Path" and mention the path of the file where it is located in the system.

All the varaints created in the file would be displayed in the variants list.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Harsha

Hi Harsha,

Thank you for your quick response. But I cannot see the radio button

"External Variants / Path" in test data container. May I know the version which you are talking about, does it support in version 640?

Hi Jwalith,

This is working from Release 640 patch 14.. THis option is not available in systems with release 620.

Best regards,

Harsha
