Relation between - LiveCache version and Database Manager GUI

hi,

I have basic question. We are using LiveCache version - 7.6.06.09. Using Database Manager- 7.06.03.10

Could you please clarify, if there is any restriction in which Database Manager version to use?

How both LiveCache / Database manager pair together.

Hello RajS,

The SAP Note No. 386714 has answer on your question.

• As of Version 7.6, the SAPGUI version could be lower than the SP of MaxDB-/liveCache versions.

• We recommend to use the current version of the tools if possible.

"DBMGUI 7.6.06 Patch 04" is the latest release for the SAP customers.

Hi RaiS,

There are no restrictions in this, unless you are using an extreme outdated version of dbmgui or the database.

In case you want to be on the safe side, you can always use the latest version of DBMGUI (also of a higher release), this will be downwards compatible.
