SRM MDM Catalog - Basis Information

I am looking for basis information with Reagard to SRM MDM catalog implementation.

1. What are the SRM software units and SAP Netwaever Software units required that needs to be deployed for SRM 7.0 for eneterprise buyer?

2. Is portal required or is there a different UI through which shopping be done?

AS Java is required for SRM-MDM Catalog search UI. Portal is not mandatory for SRM-MDM Catalog itself.
