IDoc not appearing

Hi gurus !

I am not able to pull in the 'Delivery' IDoc into the Source message window in the Message Mapping object for an IDoc - File XI scenario. I know that I would have to incorporate it from a Software Component Version of an SAP instance. But I am not able to pull it through from the existing SAP BASIS 640. Would there be any obvious points that I have missed ?

Cheers,

Ashok.

Hi,

1.Check for system field under Connection data for SWCV

you have given SAP<sys id> and the correct client no

2.Make sure that you have SAP LOGON PAD(SAP GUI)installed in your desktop.

Hi ,

You have to import IDoc from SAP system through import objects.

Just check your configuration with these steps,....

Thanks,

sekhar

Hi Ashok,

you have to import it from R/3 system. Configure the Connection parameters at SWCV and try via context menu on imported objects / IDocs.

Udo

Ashok,

R you trying to import the IDOC to XI ?

Then in your SCV first interface import -> import of RFC and IDOC permitted sud be checked.

Second you can import it via the imported objects in the SCV. Give the parameters there and u sud be done

Hi Udo,

I have done that Udo, but need to know which SWCV to import. I have imported SAP BASIS 640 but it hasn't helped.

Hi Ashok,

Check in IR for the Software component version which u r using has whether <b>Import of RFC and IDoc</b> button has been selected or not...

And after that u have to import it from SAP system in the imported objects under that SWCV...

Sridhar

Hi Sridhar,

Yes, the radio button of 'Import of RFCs and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permitted' has been checked at the Software Component Version level.

Hi Shabarish,

Which SWC would have that ? SAP BASIS 640 doesn't seem to be having it.

Ashok.

Hi Mario,

I am getting the error below following your steps.

Unable to establish connection to R/3 system DEC (client=230) Troubleshooting tips:

Is the target system online?

Check the connection data (note that server names and groups are case-sensitive)

Tips for administrators (see the configuration guide for more details):

Does the user have the required authorizations in the target system?

Is the target system configured correctly in "etc/services"?

Cheers,

Ashok.

SAP BASIS 640 doesn't seem to be having it >> of course it has ... in the SCV drill down to the namespaces and in the end u will find imported objeccts.

even then u can even try creating your own SCV and import the IDOC.

Hi Sridhar !

Seems to be a connectivity problem. Password in CAPS also doesn't work.

Hi Ashok ,

You are giving wrong details...

You should provide correct Application server name of R/3 system and system no is 00 and user name and password.

Thanks,

Sekhar

Hi Sekhar,

It was a connectivity problem ......... the only difference is the group value should be SPACE and I had given '00'.

Sorry for all the trouble guys.

would be great if you explain the same with more clarity

1.If you are trying to pull the idoc structure from SAP system what is the error you are getting OR

2.After having succesfully imported into IR,is that you could not bring the same in Source side of the MM

Hi Vasanth,

I am trying to pull in the IDoc structure from the SAP system into the IR, but it is not available as part of any software component versions.

Cheers,

Ashok.
