Business Partner (Employee) - error message

Former Member

I intend to create Business Partners (Employee) to use in cProjects (PPM 5.0).

Under tcode bp, as I click on the Person button (to create BP employee), I get the following message:

"Logical system is not defined".

Please advise.

The logical systems were to be defined. The problem is resolved.

it sounds like it's trying to connect to you HR (or whichever system holds your employee master data).

if you go to Tcode SALE - > Basic Settings -> Logical Systems,

you can define it. However, you may need to define the SM59 port and maybe even an ALE distribution model to get it all working.

We plan to do an HR integration going further.

However, for now, we have a stand-alone system in which we intend to create BPs for use in cProjects, RPM.

Please advise.

Hi Deepak,

Make sure then that your customizing is set for a stand alone HR system, cProjects --> Resources >Business Partners>set up integration with HR is not marked as integration activated.

Hi, this setting is alright... HR integration is not set up. And yet, it says "Logical System is not defined".

Hello Deepak,

Check if you have defined the logical system for your system and its client in which you are creating the Person.

This might be the cause of the error you are getting.

Thanks and Regards,
