problem to install Add-one ST-PI on BW 701.

Hi All,

I have a BW SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 system on sql server with:

SAP_ABA = SAPKA70107 ABA Support Package 0007 for 7.01

SAP_BASIS = SAPKB70107 Basis Support Package 0007 for 7.01

PI_BASIS =SAPKB70107 Basis Support Package 0007 for 7.01

Refer to Add-on note 1228898 and 539977 I wante to install the SAP Solution Tools Plug-In.

I need SDCCN for my EWA configuration.

I did download ST-PI (KITLQ1.CAR to 6.CAR) and ST-API (KITAC4F.SAR) from sap SMP.

I did patch spam to patch 42. But when I try to calculat queue.

I get This massages (OCS package SAPKITLQI1 does not match the current software component vector),

ST-PI,2005_1_700 Add-on ST-PI Release 2005_1_700 is not installed

Any idea what is the problem?

I am not sure that you have downloaded correct packages from SAP. Note 1228898 says that for new installation you should use:

2008_1_700 SAPKITLRDA KITLRDA.CAR

When i go to SMP under this lik.

http://service.sap.com/INSTALLATIONS

Plug-ins -> SAP Solution Tools Plug-In -> ST-PI ->

ST-PI 2008_1

There is SAPKITLRD1 abd SAPKITLRD2 and SAPKITLRD3. and no SAPKITLRDA KITLRDA.CAR. I did download this 3 but I stil get the same error masages.

Should I use spam or saint to install this Add-on pakages?

Strange. When I go to:

service.sap.com/installations -> "Browse our Download Catalog" -> "Plug-Ins" -> "SAP Solution Tools" -> "ST-PI" -> "ST-PI 2008_1_700" -> "Installation" -> "Downloads" I get

SAPKITLRDA ST-PI 2008_1_700: Add-On Installation Info 10089 12.12.2008 12.12.2008

Also service.sap.com/installations ->"Search for Installations and Upgrades" and enter "SAPKITLRD*" in search field and you should get what you need (installation + SP's).

HI,

are you applying SPs for ST-API or installing new version of ST-A/PI. If you install new version of ST-A/PI, use SAINT instead of SPAM.

Hi,

Looks like what you have downloaded is Patch SP01 of ST-PI 2005_1_700. Please first get the Installation Package ST-PI 2005_1_700 ( SAPKITLQIA ) via saint and then you apply the patched via spam which you already downloaded.

If you plan to have ST-PI 2008_1_700 then get the Installation Package ST-PI 2005_1_700 ( SAPKITLRDA ) from SMP and apply via saint..
