Forecast Transfer issue

Hi,

We are trying to tranfer forecast of Product 'A' in Location 'X' on to Location 'Y'. We ahcieved the functionality through a BADI. Now the issue is, If the forecast exists for Product 'A' in Location 'Y', it is getting over written by transferred forecast from Location 'X'. We would like to get the sum of forecast in both the locations for the product as the total forecast in location 'Y'.

Could you please suggest how to achieve the functionality.

Not sure what your exact business scenario is ,so i cant say if this suggestion will work for you. Why cant you create the forecast for product y in key figure 1 . You can use a separate key figure say key figure 2 for forecast transfers - that is the result of badi execution can be saved in key figure 2. Then all you have to do is add key figure 1 and key figure 2 and put it in a new key figure say key figure 3.

Also if you are transferring the forecast from DP to SNP , you can change the aggregation indicator for the forecast key figure to avoid overwrite . The aggregation indicator can be found in SNP planning area. This option always works for parent child relationship - that is you can decide if you want to overwrite to parent or sum values of parent and child . Not sure if it will work for your scenarios. But please explore that also
