Need to view Insp plans Long Text during result recording

Hi Experts,

Long text has been maintained at MIC level in Inspection plans. However it is not available

for reference at the time of result recording for a particular inspection characteristic.

Appreciate if someone can help here.

MIC long text can be displayed in result recording screen (long text symbol will appear there)

in qe01 (where u record result)- check 5th column inspection char long text

or

in single values for characteristics screen, u can see it in front of char number

Long Text has been maintained in QP02. But i am not able to view the long text during result recording of the particular material and insp. char.

The long text symbol that appears during result recording against each insp. char is used to record comments for inspection. There is another symbol that appears under 'Additional Info' column, but is disabled.

Is there any other symbol for long text viewing during result recording? (but may be hidden or suppressed)

There should be a field titled 'InspCharLText' available in the general view of results recording. This should show the long text associated with the MIC from the inspection plan (not long text at the MIC level or plan header level). Also - the lots you are looking at must have been generated after maintaining the text on the plan

Try creating a new inspection lot after plan change.

Once inspection plan is assigned to lot, SAP does not check for the latest version.

If long text exists, you will see long text symbol during QE01 (field is called InspCharLtext)

Long text during result recording is read from inspection plan ( not MIC).
