Different SRM release on one ERP Backend

Hi Experts,

Could you please list what should be practical difficulties of connecting different SRM (4.0 / 7.0) release on a single ERP backend system.

Hi,

It does not make a sense to have 2 SRM for 1 ERP. 1 SRM and Multiple backend systems may happen in real business.

Is there any business reason to have 2 SRM?

I see challenges for number range and middleware settings.

Hi Masa,

Yes I understand those challenges and also that this not make sense to have it.

We were looking at a interim solution here for a single country rollout to SRM 7.0.

We already have SRM 4.0.

However we have decided that this is not a very much feasible approach.
