Hi Gurus,

Can any body send me the presentation related 4-4-5 Calender...?

what are the advantages and disadvantages compared to normal and vice versa.

Please also let me know what are the problems faced while implementing..?

Hi,

This is time dimension related and should normally be handled on the database side.

For SAP BW you would use a fiscal period definition to handle that and 4,4,5 is just one of the options.

If you have a straighforward relational data warehouse, this would be handled by a calendar/time dimension table.

In this table each day gets assigned to a specific period (business year/period/week) but also to a normal calendar variant (year/week/month).

Note that you must store the data on a calendar day level if you want to be able to cater both normal calendar and business calendar views (which you will need, since some business users will want to use a normal calendar view, whereas others want the financial views).
