SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version - port issue

Hi All,

im trying to instal 7.02 trial on Win server 2003 but at the begining got this error:

Error while connecting to communication partner - see preceeding messages. Could not connect to host localhost on port 21212. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Ive tryied netstat, but this port is not in use, so im not sure what should i check? Did someone faced this problem beore? Thanks for help.

To close the topic:

1. Firewall was switched off, moreover several ports were unblocked.

2. Using IP/host name didnt help.

What helped:

1. Unpack SAP instalation on local folder (in previous try i unpacked this on shared folder with host for my VM)

2. Add to my server roles Terminal Server

I got this error but after giving the IP address of the system instead of localhost

it went through.

also i disabled the firewall in my case.

Hi,

Please check if the ports are not blocked by firewall.

Also check the hosts file for proper mapping for localhost.
