Where is this specified? How do I tell the router what its IP address is or does it need to run on its own server?
This is the IP address that goes in the SAProuter string in "create new entry" screen in SAP GUI.
This is the IP address to be registered with SAP, along with the host name.
Thank you.
Perry,
The SAPRouter is software that is installed on a Host as a Service.
Therefore the SAPRouter will have the IP Address of the host it is installed, it will have Service port 3227 and its port range can be defined. Do you have the SAPRouter Documentation? It is available at Service Marketplace.
Please visit http://service.sap.com/saprouter

Paul

All,
How do I specify the SAProuter's public IP adress to the router?
Thanks.

Hi Perry,
you need two ip-addresses. The intenal one for your network - on this server the saprouter is installed. The external one for connecting from and to sap. Both point on the server on which the saprouter is installed. You have to tell SAP the external IP-address (via form, sap message).
The SAP default port for SAPRouter is 3299.
