Balance sheet report

Hi Experts,

I am new to SAP BO, I need help from you guys.

Could you please help me how to implement the balance sheet hierarchy in universe.

I know that BI hierarchy and BO hierarchies are different. When we are going to implement any hierarchy in bo it is sorting based on description.

If anybody has done reporting on FI balance sheet throgh BO, please suggest how can i approach.

Hi Gana,

You have to make the code/key objects of the hierarchy available, they normally make more sense when it comes to sorting.

With the default generation, the blue dimension object will point to the caption of the infoobjects, not the key.

Make the keys available for all hierarchy levels (easiest is to use the .[NAME] version of the level object) as extra dimension objects. Now you can select all levels keys and descriptions.

The sorting can be based on the codes/keys and will normally be alphabetical.

If needed you can apply a custom sort if that doesn't fit the bill.

This should give you enough handles to make that balance sheet work.

You now have a blue object called L01_xxx, L02_xxx, etc. depending on how deep the hierarchy is.

These objects (select box) ends with

[LEVEL01]

copy these objects and change the select in

[LEVEL01].[NAME]

This object will give you the key instead of the description.
