Alerts to PI via connection CentralMonitoringServer-XIAlerts

Hello,

We are sending alerts from SAP R/3 to PI via connection CentralMonitoringServer-XIAlerts.

On PI this connection is automatically created. But how is the connection CentralMonitoringServer-XIAlerts created on R/3, automatically or manually? And if it is created automatically, how must this be configured in R/3?

HI,

You have to cross check few things in R/3.

1. Try transaction SLDAPICUST. If you gettin an entry for PI SLD, then probably you are using a centralized sld in your landscape.

2. sxmb_ifr -> if it connects to PI SLD it will open.

3. Now check AlrtCatDef for alerts. Look out for the alerts, created there.

I guess its created manually.
