environmental variable after 11g upgrade

Hello,

I just upgraded oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 in aix5.3 , 64 platform. Everything went well while running DBUA and also verified using sqlplus the new version of oracle as part of post upgrade steps. But i am having one issue, the ORACLE_HOME, LIBPATH, PATH variables points keeps changing everytime i log out as ora<sid>. By default the ORACLE_HOME still points to /oracle/<SID>/ 102_64 (old) ....and same thing for PATH variable , i am using a Korn shell. But when i change set these varaiable again to point to new location then it works fine, i can connect to sqlplus as sysdba and it shows newer version. if I dont do it manually i can only see older version. Please suggest how to set these variables permanently so it would point to the new oracle_home

Hi

As Nick suggested you need to set the enviroment variables of user ora<dbsid>

You set the environment variables below by editing the files .dbenv_<host>.sh and .dbenv_<host>.csh in the home directory of ora<dbsid>.

For more info see the upgarde guide

Fix them in user env, profiles (.dbenv*).
