Email Alerts through BPM

I am able to configure some transactions and Background jobs for monitoring in the Business process monitoring setup. It is throwing green and red alerts but it is not creating any emails even after setting up the email address in the notification area. This is the error I see in the error list of BPM Self monitoring

Creation of notif. (ANOTF) for monid 000000374610000 aborted: Error GET BAdI BADI_CUSTOM_MESSAGE.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are right I was checking the box for Auto custom message without having the Custom message. I unchecked the box and now the emails are coming out in a standard format.

BADI_CUSTOM_MESSAGE need to get implement customer-specific notifications via self-defined notification mechanism,means sending mails on specified intravel, and restricting recipients

Please verify your auto email settings against the guide here

Hello Srini

Since I do not know your SAP Solution Manager support package level

(ST level) and ST-SER level, I am not sure whether my guess apply to your case.

But judging from the error, it seems note 1505358 (point 13) seems related.

If your solution manager SPs level is more than 23.

Probably note 1505358 will fix your problem.

(13) In the data collection protocoll (SLG1) you are getting a lot of

messages like:

Creation of notif. (ANOTIF) for monid <MONID> aborted: Error GET BAdI

BADI_CUSTOM_MESSAGE.

But you never used the BAdI to initiate customer-specific notification

mechanism instead or in addition to the standard notification.
