Busness connector MLLP support

Former Member

Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with our business connector.

For some reason, SAP sends an Idoc to the external middleware system (we are using SAPBC 4.8). The logs show we connect, but the middleware system says there is no data.

The middleware system needs the communication to be "MLLP" otherwise it does not acknowledge the data.

At this point we are not sure - Is MLLP standard with either SAPXML or values-xml? Any additional info would help greatly.

Thank you for any help.

Richard

MLLP is a protocol layer type like HTTP. It is used for Healthcare and as far as I know there is no other usage for MLLP.

Messages based on MLLP are either HL7 version 2.x -> text based or version 3.x -> XML based.

I don't think that Business Connector supports MLLP.

Thank you Stefan:

That acctually helps us a lot... Now, do you or anyone know if we can setup FTP through a route instead of html?

for example, in the busness connector under routing, they have "url" for xml.

could I simply add ftp://<host>:<port>

Thank you again...

Hi,

I found the FTP protocal in the routing table, however, we cannot just ftp over an Idoc. This is what they are asking for:

1. Idoc is created and sent to the business connector.

2. The busness connector turns the Idoc into an XML and

3. Sends the XML to our middleware via FTP.

Is this possible to do? If so, any idea how I would setup the routing rules?

Thanks guys

Richard
