I've installed 7.10 GUI in my laptop and trying to access SAP. But I'm getting an error stating "hostname 'va02cs01' unknown. I've searched the forum before posting this message, and people were telling to include the hostname in the 'hosts' file in C drive / Windows / System32 / drivers / etc, which I did. Still I'm having issues.

Open command prompt and execute:
ping va02cs01If you get "could not find host" then something is wrong with your DNS settings. Try using FQDN instead using just host name.
BTW you can anyway use IP address for connection.

Thanks. There was a missing configuration in my SAP GUI. I changed the application server setting. It's working now.
