sap spool

Hello

Today I had an experience who do not know how to interpret.Users began to complain they can not print. In sp01 had in total ~ 17.000 recordings and all new records coming entered in spool in the status waiting.

In the chaos created I did more things including a manual deletion (from spad) of all logs older than 5 days total of grains being left ~ 15.000. At one point he started to walk printing , but because i make simultaneously a lot of other things do not know what the problem.

From what it seems would be a spool limit, but I had already applied note 48284 and I put the limit at 24000, and more in sm21 I have not found anything about "spool is full" or SPOOL_INTERNAL_ERROR , so inclined to believe the problem is not from here. In spool process log and sm21 I saw only connection errors .

ERROR => ThISendAndWait: no terminal, cannot send terminal output [thxxhead.c 8511]

ERROR => RFC-GUI: ThSendAndWait in read returned: 32 [abrfcsys.c 6946]

ERROR => RFC Error RFCIO_ERROR_SYSERROR in abrfcsys.c : 6951

I have SAP ECC 6.0 (Pkg 221), db oracle (10.2.0.4), os sles10 sp2.

Currently working, but I do not know what happened. So :

1) It may have had a limitation of spool problem, even if I have Number ranges for SPO_NUM betwen 0000000100 - 0000032000?

2) What else should I check in order to know what the problem was?

Thanks for the help

Dear Indubitabil,

Please check on SM21 in order to find some clue about what had happened.

Is your spool sytem on the DB or in FileSytem?

Display the spool developer trace (dev_wX)

Hope it helps.

Are you aware of the infamous Year-2010-Bug?

Thank you sir for this note,

I checked the sap note, and i do not think that's my case. From what I saw problem is solvable in sap-basis 700 (022) and we already have this patch, also i do not see logs older 10 days (it's retention from RSPO1041).

Thanks sir for reply

Since I have not seen any error, I do not know the exact time when the problems began to appear. But compared to when they started to cry users, I estimate somewhere around the time 10:50. So you leave with a point of reference: =/- 5 min.

So , from sm21(only some loss of connection) :

10:24:25 I Operating system call recv failed (error no. 104 )

10:24:25 4 Connection to user 11052 (*******), terminal 75 (*******) lost

10:28:25 I Operating system call recv failed (error no. 104 )

10:28:26 4 Connection to user 12048 (*******), terminal 130 (*******) lost

10:53:46 I Operating system call recv failed (error no. 104 )

10:53:46 4 Connection to user 11099 (*******), terminal 556 (*******) lost

Spool process which run was w59 , and from dev_w59 (do not tell me much):

About the type of spool, I set the following parameters in rz10 :

rsts/files/root/G /sapspool/&c&5.5n/&4p&.15n

rspo/store_location G

and had no space issues at os level.

Please help me determine the cause.
