BOM with Alt Item grp

Hi

We have boms with alternative item groups.

for example

A 1 -

---

FG

B 1 alt Item grp X 20% -

---

rawmaterial

C 1 alt Item grp X 80% -

---

rawmaterial

when it is transfered to APO, PPDS PPM is created as follows

A 1

B 0.2

C 0.8 which is fine.

When this is converted to SNP PPM it is cretating PPM as below

A 1

B 1

C 1 so for making 1 A it plans B and C both with eual qty which is duplicating requirement for rawmaterials. Now if i change change the PPM manually it takes 0.2 and 0.8 and distributes the requirements as 20 and 80 % for B and C....

Question is how do i make it take same qty in SNP PPM when converted from PPDS PPM in /SAPAPO/OO_PPM_CONV.

Hi,

Since your base qty of Mat A is 1, to produce 1 A in PPDS PPM the reqd comp B is 0.2 and Comp C is 0.8. But during PPM generation system is rounding these 08. and 02. as 1 EA.

So to resolve this issue need to increase the base qty of material A . After increasing the base qty , CIF the PPM and then convert and see.
