Hi Experts,
We are currently trying to understand the feasibility of a SAP BI instance along with Business objects ( basically for learning purpose) be installed in one of the HP Servers located in our office.
Just wondering if you could help us identify if the configuration of the server be enough for the installation.
There are two instance of ECC ( ECC5 , ECC6 with PI) already installed in the Server. Both are development systems and are not being used extensively.
Please find the below server details:
Server Name : HP ProLiant ML370G5
Processor : 4 * Inter(R) Xenon(R) CPU E5420 @ 2.50GHZ
RAM : 12 GB
Free Disk Space : 300 GB
Regards,
Santosh

Your RAM is very low, if you have already two ABAP instances plus one ABAP + Java instance you may run into heavy swapping issues.
I would not install an additional instance without adding more RAM (at least 12 GB).

Hi Markus,
Thanks for the information.
Just one more confirmation. Even if the other instances are not used , do you think installing Netweawer BI would cause swapping issues. The other ECC instances ran out of license and we are not thinking of renewing them.
@ Mark : We have 300 GB free space left out and I am not sure how to check in for the Pagefile size.

Hi,
Well you will need Netweaver 2004s system.
ABAP+Java and patch it to EHP2, SP06.
How much of the 300GB have you got left.
and how big is you pagefile..
