I am new to SDN, so if I have posted this in the wrong forum, please let me know and I will close the thread and re-open it in the right spot.
I am working on AFS 6.0, and am looking for a solution (hopefully SAP standard) to the following scenario:
Company A may place an order for SKU ABCDE12345 (total quantity of 6000). However, they may want boxes of 6 units each (one of size A, two of size B, two of size C, one of size D). We would ship them 1000 boxes, each with six caps. When we receive the order, the customer will send the SKU, and total quantities per size, along with an identifier of the packing method (1-2-2-1). In the order, we would still like the standard grid for pricing and inventory management, but when we ship, we need to be able to tell the DC that they are to ship the 6-packs.
So in the order we'll see the following:
Material--
Quantity
ABCDE12345--|
6000
-
|--A
1000
-
|--B
2000
-
|--C
2000
-
|--D
1000
But when we ship, it will be in packs of 1-2-2-1.
I have done a little reading on assortments and prepacks, but neither seems to fit this scenario perfectly. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
