USer Default - CUP

Experts,

I had an idea and wanted to throw it out to the forum. Has anyone ever populated the fields 'user groups' and or 'license type' by the roles selected in a request using 'User Defaults'. Normally from what I've read you need to manually select these but if you could populate based on the roles you selected that would be some nice intelligence added to a user request.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Hi Kyle,

The only fields user defaults can populate are the ones specified in User defalts. Licnece type etc. can be populated using this.

Hi,

There is no such option for populating the user groups in the request, you can maintain one defualt user group in the feild from personalization.

With role selection, there is no option to map and maintain role and user groups in system.

Hi,

No need to maintain the User Defaults in Backend system manually . once you configured the user defaults and mapping to the required systems in CUP. The user defauls will get automatically provision in the backend systems while approving the CUP request like Decimal Notation, date format, Default printer etc..
